Gavin joined Macdonald Commercial shortly after graduating from the DULE (Urban Land Economics) program at UBC Sauder School of Business. With a background in property management and real estate development, Gavin brings to the Sales and Leasing Team experience and a fresh perspective to the industry. Being able to generate value in creative ways is what fuel Gavin’s passion and what he strives to achieve for his clients.
Born and raised in Richmond, Gavin developed his passion for real estate at a young age by being involved in development projects with his father. Inspired from the personal experience, Gavin pursued two specializations in Real estate development and Commercial property analysis at UBC after obtaining his undergraduate degree in Communications at SFU.
Gavin has had five years of experience in property management in addition to extensive customer relations, sales negotiation and creative conflict resolution experience working for the Government of Canada.
With this positive mindset, Gavin develops lasting relationships with his clients by pro-actively informing them on the latest market trends and going above and beyond to meet client needs. In addition, he is also fluent in Cantonese and Mandarin.
During his downtime, Gavin enjoys his other passion of working on project cars in his garage and served as the community organizer for one of the local car clubs. Gavin enjoys hiking with his two dogs as and going on extensive road trips.
Gavin is an active member of: the UBC Real Estate Club, Young Professionals in Real Estate (YUPRE) and the Real Estate Institute of B.C (REIBC). He is currently working towards his CCIM, FRI RI designations to advance his career as a commercial real estate broker.
